My Singapore Experience - Amazing Sg

People come to Singapore perhaps for a training, adventure and fun and even work and owning and managing a business, and I am one of those fortunate ones to visit Sg and witness the wonderful sceneries and savor the moment.

When in Sg, I was with Mr. Ricky, a Singaporean, the whole stay. I got to know some important facts about Sg that hightened my curiousity about the country.

Let me share to you a little bit of Singapore and how these fresh infos made my whole journey so exciting.

Make Singapore a garden.
One surely would enjoy visiting this country that is seriously implementing and promoting a cleaner and greener environment evident of plants and flowers all around the city.

Whenever one exits the Changi Airport, a banner saying "Make Singapore a garden" can be observed along the immediate roads. Flowers along roadsides as well as road isles and even on tall building floors added to my curiosity on how serious Sg is in implementing a garden all over the country. Pink flowers bloom all around adding attraction to tourists and eco-friendly establishments adopt this mandate being part of a nationwide call.

Automated Singapore.
During my stay in Sg, I got to witness how this country deal with regards to toll and parking fee charging automation. Vehicles are equipped with electronic wallets that vehicle owner will top up a certain amount from time to time.

There are no one on the street collecting toll fees for expressways. Highways use cameras and sensors that automatically charge every vehicle passing along their expressways.

Parking areas on hotels also adopt same technology. Whenever one goes for a parking, fee is automatically charged.

When in a case when a vehicle's e-wallet depletes its load, it can still pass any highway or park anyware as long as the owner will immediately top up the amount more than the credited fee.

Convenient transpo.
Traffic congestion is not a problem in this country because of their effective mass transport providing convenience to the riding public.

Touch down.
After you deplane and about to exit, you may ride immediately an MRT, a bus or a taxi depending on your preference.

Those that come from not so progressive countries might be amazed of the common sightings of a mercedez benz, BMW and other luxury cars that can be seen fetching pasengers as taxis that will charge you different from those commonly used taxis, but at least you got to try riding on these amazing cars once in your lifetime that will let you ride like a boss.

How Sg managed owning of vehicles.
If you own a personal vehicle in Sg, then you are regarded as one in the upper class. Why? Because owning a personal vehicle in Sg requires at most an extra SgD100,000.00 before the actual price of the vehicle to buy.

This is part of the strategy not to congest the streets with so many cars. If one wants to own a car, one should undergo a bidding for a COE or Certificate of Entitlement which will cost from SgD1,000.00 up to SgD100,000.00 just for the document alone.

Discpline is IN.
Residents are so disciplined that even blowing of horns are being minimized and one can rarely hear it in public, and cars would stop whenever a pedestrian is about to cross to the other side of the road. Taxi drivers are polite and do not overcharge with the fare, and do not have problem giving out receipts when asked to.

The attractions.
The ultimate part of course is the visiting of the beautiful destinations in Sg. One should try roaming around these places and take nothing but pictures.

1. The merlion park
2. The sentosa
3. The gardens by the bay
4. The marina bay sands
5. The universal studio

Surely your stay in Singapore will be a worthwhile experience and worth the money to spend.
